A lakeside lounge reimagined around the place it sits in.
Exposed timber beams and a woven reed ceiling draw on the region’s vernacular building traditions, while full-height linen sheers soften the light coming off Lake Malawi.
The room is anchored by a pair of large-scale afroprint panels of fish imagery, chosen as a nod to the lake’s famous cichlids, which are as much a part of local identity as the water itself. Around them, the palette stays quiet and tactile: textured stone-coloured upholstery, a woven jute rug, marble and brushed brass lighting, with moss and sage accents picking up the garden outside.
